A routine dental visit often includes a quick oral cancer screening. The dentist looks over the lips, tongue, cheeks, and floor of the mouth. They also gently check the jaw and neck for anything unusual. They look for sores, or red or white patches, that do not heal. Finding changes early makes them much easier to address.
