Over time, foods, drinks, and age can leave teeth looking yellow or dull. Stains build up on the enamel and in the layer just beneath it. Whitening uses a gel that contains a safe peroxide. The peroxide breaks stain molecules into smaller, less visible pieces. In the office, a stronger gel is used under close supervision. As the stains fade, the teeth look brighter and whiter.
