In some cases, an implant and a temporary tooth are placed in one visit. It starts with a gap where a tooth is missing. The implant post is placed into the jawbone. A temporary crown can then be attached the same day. Over the next months, the bone fuses to the implant beneath it. Once healed, the temporary is replaced with the final crown. The result is a same-day tooth while the implant heals. This video is for general education only. It is not medical or dental advice. Ask your dentist what's right for you.

This video is educational only and is not medical advice. Every patient is different — talk to your provider about your specific situation.
