A regular denture can slip, especially along the lower jaw. With no tooth roots, the jawbone shrinks and the denture loosens. A few small implants are placed into the jawbone. Special attachments are fitted onto the posts and inside the denture. The denture then snaps firmly onto the implants. It holds securely, yet can still be removed for cleaning.
