Crooked or crowded teeth can often be straightened without metal braces. Clear aligners are thin, see-through trays made to fit your teeth. Each tray places gentle pressure that nudges the teeth a little at a time. They are worn most of the day and taken out to eat and brush. Every week or two, a new tray continues the movement.
